Reason # 10

You can count it all joy because You Have the Power

Abuse at anytime or in any form is unacceptable. Merriam Webster dictionary defines abuse as a corrupt practice or custom, improper or excessive use or treatment,a deceitful act, language that condemns or vilifies usually unjustly, intemperately, and angrily, physical maltreatment. Whether the pain of abuse is self-inflicted or perpetuated by another, it is never too late to take back your power!

The first step to freedom from abuse is to acknowledge that there is a problem. Secondly, we have to take responsibility for our own lives and stop playing the role of the victim. Thirdly, we must be willing to reach out for help from God, family   friends and our community.

Taking back your power is never easy but it is necessary if you want to be free. Start today by making a decision to take back your power from those who have hurt or abused you.

I’m taking back the power,

That I have given to you;

And I am not making anymore excuses

For the things that you do!

I'm taking back the power,

That I have given to you;

And I am taking lessons

From the suffering that I have been through.

I’m taking back the power,

That I have given to you;

And I am saying goodbye to the old memories

Because I am over you!]]>
